On August 13, Korea University Sejong Campus Department of Biotechnology and Bioinformatics hosted the 3rd Living Lab Seminar at the Research and Business Cooperation Building. The theme of this seminar was the systematic cultivation of convergent creative human resources with social innovative values, continuous corporate cooperation and local community contributions through university education, experimentation with new lifestyles in smart health and biohealth industries, aiming for further industrial development.
Professors from the Department of Biotechnology and Bioinformatics Living Lab advisors, including Professors Baek Seungpil, Lee Gyudo, Lee Hyungjin, and Research Professor Min Giha, participated in the event, along with undergraduate and graduate student mentors. The guest speaker was Lee Yoonhee, Senior Researcher from Daejeon Sejong Research Institute.
Senior Researcher Lee provided advice on the basic concepts of carbon neutrality and various environmental issues in Sejong City during a seminar on the topic of carbon neutrality and Sejong City’s environmental issues. She also discussed solutions with undergraduate students participating in the Living Lab and explored ways to contribute to the local green industry.
Participants broadened their knowledge on both Sejong City's environmental issues and global environmental trends, gaining practical advice from experts in the field.
This event was supported by the Local University Revitalization Project, a part of the University Innovation Support Project, and was jointly organized by the Department of Biotechnology and Bioinformatics and the BCA2-RLRC; Biological Clock-based Anti-Aging Convergence RLRC(Regional-Leading Research Center) at Korea University Sejong Campus.
