Three startup teams from Korea University Sejong Campus have advanced to the finals of the ‘2024 Promising Student Startup Teams 300+.’
The ‘2024 Promising Student Startup Teams 300+’ is the largest student startup competition in Korea, hosted by the Ministry of Education and organized by the National Research Foundation of Korea and the Korea Entrepreneurship Foundation. This year, over 1,300 teams applied, and after intense preliminary rounds, a total of 410 teams (50 general teams, 10 international student teams, 250 growth teams, and 100 preliminary teams) were selected for the finals.
From Korea University Sejong Campus, two teams from the KUS Startup Club in the Growth Track (Reusable, Dream of Last Year) and one team in the Preliminary Track (Help Company) were chosen as finalists.
The three finalist teams will undergo entrepreneurship competency enhancement training, one on one mentoring for business plan refinement, and will have the opportunity to participate in the Student Startup Festival product exhibition.
Joo Yeeun, the leader of the Reusable team stated, "It was a meaningful event where we could exchange and share information with other excellent startup teams from various universities. We will approach the upcoming entrepreneurship education and mentoring programs with sincerity."
On a related note, the Entrepreneurship Education Center, Sejong is contributing to the spread of a startup culture among university students through various programs, including entrepreneurship major courses, startup clubs, entrepreneurship special lectures, expert mentoring, and startup competitions.
