The Korea University Sejong LINC 3.0 Foundation held the Sejong Resource Circulation Green Youth Supporters launch ceremony in collaboration with Sejong City at the Research and Business Cooperation Building.
The event was attended by supporters, public officials from Sejong City Government, members of the Sejong Citizens' Policy Design Group, Vice Director Yoo Jaehyun of the foundation, and other staff members.
At the ceremony, presentations were made on Sejong City's environmental policy plans, the activities of the Citizens' Policy Design Group, and the supporters' activity plans.
The supporters are composed of Korea University students who are interested in local environmental issues. Starting with this launch ceremony, they will engage in activities such as education related to resource circulation practices, discovering content to raise awareness about reducing single-use products, planning and operating campaigns to promote resource circulation, promoting outstanding businesses that reduce single-use products (through cafes, blogs, SNS, etc.), promoting Sejong City's resource circulation policy online and offline, and supporting other environment-related events. They will take a leading role in supporting citizen-participatory eco-friendly projects and actively participate in all processes of local government programs.
Professor Yoo Jaehyun stated, “This supporters group is significant as it expands its scope of activities to Sejong City and carries out projects that meet the needs of the local government. The foundation will continue to promote student-participatory eco-friendly projects through industry-university cooperation, contributing to the expansion of sustainable ESG management in local governments.”
