On the September 9, the Meet-up Day between Korea University Sejong Campus, startups, and related institutions was held in Suk Won Hall. This event was organized by the Sejong Campus LINC 3.0 Foundation and Sejong Youth Center, with the Sejong Campus LINC 3.0 ICC Central Center overseeing the event as a specialized program for nurturing human resources through local-industry-university cooperation.
The program was designed to support the growth of local startups and enhance students' practical experience in companies and their entrepreneurial mindset. The students, in cooperation with NAWA, a startup founded by Korea University alumni, participated in activities aimed at generating new ideas and solutions to address startup challenges over the course of a semester. Additionally, the Sejong Youth Center plans to promote the advancement of educational links between the university and the local community.
During the event, NAWA's company introduction was followed by an IR (Investor Relations) pitch. The students presented their proposals in teams after preparing market trend analysis and evaluating the competitiveness of companies. They then received feedback from company representatives, which helped clarify the direction and necessity of their projects. Sejong Youth Center shared plans to support local government development and the settlement of youth in the region through community-linked education and also held a networking session for continued collaboration.
Director Yoo Jaehyun stated "This event was planned to help students develop problem-solving skills in real-world industries, while also providing companies with fresh ideas. We will continue to work closely with local institutions through the local-industry-university platform and offer various programs to nurture the human resources needed by the region."
On a related note, the ICC Central Center plans to continuously run excellent local-industry-university cooperation programs that support Sejong City’s development strategies and meet the demand for skilled human resource. The center aims to produce high-quality collaborative results through active cooperation with related institutions.
