The Constitution of the Graduate School-Detailed Enforcement Regulations for the Graduate School (General)
제43조(석사학위 청구논문 제출자격)
① 다음 각 호를 모두 충족시켜야 석사학위 청구논문을 제출할 수 있다.
제44조(박사학위 청구논문 제출자격) ① 다음 각 호를 모두 충족시켜야 박사학위 청구논문을 제출할 수 있다.
제83조(석박사통합과정 학위청구논문 제출자격)
Article 43 (Requirements for Submitting Master’s Degree Thesis)
(1) To be eligible to submit a master’s degree thesis, students must meet all of the requirements set forth
in the following subparagraphs:
1. Students must have acquired or be expected to acquire at least 24 credits from courses related to their field of study
with a GPA of at least 3.0.
2. Students must have acquired or be expected to acquire at least 8 research guidance credits; however, with respect to
transfer students, research guidance credits acquired during acknowledged semesters shall not be counted toward
the number of research guidance credits required for the submission of their master’s degree dissertation.
3. Students assigned to take advisor-designated courses must have completed or be expected to complete
those courses in addition to earning 24 credits from other courses.
4. Students must have passed a foreign language examination and comprehensive exam.
5. Students must have not been enrolled for more than six years.
6. Students must have completed the Human Rights & Gender Equality course.
Article 44 (Requirements for Submitting Doctoral Degree Dissertations)
(1) To be eligible to submit a doctoral degree dissertation, students must meet all of the requirements set forth in the following
subparagraphs:
1. Students must have acquired or be expected to acquire at least 36 credits from courses related to their field of study
with a GPA of at least 3.0.
2. Students must have acquired or be expected to acquire at least 8 research guidance credits; however, with respect to
transfer students, research guidance credits acquired during acknowledged semesters shall not be counted toward
the number of research guidance credits required for the submission of their doctoral degree dissertations.
3. Students assigned to take advisor-designated courses must have completed or be expected to complete those courses
in addition to earning 36 credits from other courses.
4. Students must have passed the Foreign Language Test and the Comprehensive Examination.
5. Students must have not been enrolled for more than 10 years.
6. Students must have published one or more papers in (or received acceptance letters from) renowned SCI-level
international journals or journals registered with the National Research Foundation of Korea(including candidate journals
for non-science & engineering fields) as a main or corresponding author (however, in unavoidable circumstances arising
from departmental characteristics, this requirement may be replaced with achievements equivalent to publishing papers
in journals as designated by department bylaws with approval from the department chair and the dean of the Graduate School).
7. Students must have completed the Human Rights & Gender Equality course
Article 83 (Requirements for Submitting Degree Dissertation)
(1) In order to submit a dissertation for an integrated program, students must meet all of the requirements set
forth in the following subparagraphs:
1. Students must have acquired or be expected to acquire at least 54credits from courses related to their field of study
with a GPA of at least 3.0.
2. Students must have acquired or be expected to acquire at least 16 research guidance credits; however, with respect to
transfer students, research guidance credits acquired during acknowledged semesters shall not be counted toward
the number of research guidance credits required for the submission of their degree dissertation.
3. Students assigned to take advisor designated courses must have acquired or be expected to acquire credits
from such courses in addition to the 54 credits specified in subparagraph 1.
4. Students must have passed the Foreign Language Test and the Comprehensive Examination.
5. Students must have not been enrolled for more than 12 years since their admission.
6. Students must have published one or more papers in (or received acceptance letters from) SCI-level
international journals or renowned journals registered with the National Research Foundation of Korea
(including candidate journals for the non-science & engineering field) as a main or corresponding author
(however, in unavoidable circumstances arising from department characteristics, this requirement may be
replaced with achievements equivalent to publishing papers in journals designated by the department’s
bylaws with approval from the department chair and the dean of the Graduate School).
7. Students must have completed the Human Rights & Gender Equality course.
(2) To be eligible to submit a dissertation for an integrated program with a reduced course of study,
students must meet all of the requirements set forth in the following subparagraphs:
1. Students must have registered for at least six semesters.
2. Students must have acquired or be expected to acquire at least 54 credits from courses related to their field of study
with a GPA of at least 4.0.
3. Students must have acquired or be expected to acquire at least 12 research guidance credits.
4. Students assigned to take advisor designated courses must have acquired or be expected to acquire credits
from such courses in addition to the 54 credits specified in subparagraph 1.
5. Students must have passed the Foreign Language Test and the Comprehensive Examination.
6. Students must have been recommended by their academic advisor(there is no separate recommendation form).
