본 연구실은 컴퓨터 시뮬레이션을 이용한 제일원리계산으로 전이금속 화합물의 물리적 특성을 연구하고 있다. 특히, 전이금속 화합물의 초전도, 자성, 수송 특성 연구에 집중하고 있다. 최근에는 스핀-궤도 결합 및 상관 효과에 의한 독특한 자성, 초전도성, 위상 특성 관련 현상들을 규명하고자 하고 있다. 이를 통해서 응집물질의 새로운 물리현상 규명 및 신기능 신물질을 설계하고자 한다.
Throughout computer simulation based on first principles calculations, we have studied physical properties of transition metal compounds. In particular, we have investigated superconductivity, magnetism, and transport properties. Recently, our research is focused on exotic superconductivity, magnetism, and topological phases induced by interplay between spin-orbit coupling and correlation effects. We pursue to disclose mechanisms of new physical phenomena in condensed matters and to design novel functional and novle materials.
