1. Scholarship Application Method
Application Method and Timeline
Check with the Academic Affairs Dept. of the respective college as the method and time of scholarship application varies by college.
Upon the receipt of an official letter for scholarship student selection from scholarship foundations, which are operated on the basis of open screening system, the details are posted on the noticeboard of the university website and the Academic Affairs Department bulletin board
Note
- As the qualifications of each foundation vary, an application does not mean that the student is recommended and selected for scholarship. When a student is recommended, he or she is individually contacted by the Academic Affairs Department before the semester begins
- When a student selection is finalized by a scholarship foundation following recommendation, the scholarship fund is deposited in the student’s account opened under his or her student ID. Upon the scholarship payment, a letter of notice is sent to the student’s home The student is to send a thank you letter to the address of the scholarship foundation specified in the notice.
※ The selected scholarship students are obligated to attend meetings, scholarship award ceremony and other events of the scholarship foundation
※ In principle, scholarship is paid to the registered and enrolled students, and the students have an obligation to register the payment.
2. Recommendations and Scholarship Confirmation
New Recommendation
When an outside scholarship organization requests recommendation of students for scholarship, the dean of student affairs receives recommendations from the deans of colleges in consideration of the number of outside scholarship recipients. However, if an outside scholarship organization designates a recipient (e.g. Based on the place of birth, school year, department, etc.), the decision is followed unless there are grounds for disqualification
Replacement Recommendation
In case a ground for disqualification occurs for non-campus scholarship students, other students are recommended according to the regulations of each scholarship foundation
Continuing Recommendation
Students who do not have any grounds for disqualification are continuously recommended according to the regulations of each scholarship foundation
Scholarship Confirmation
Students who do not have any grounds for disqualification are continuously recommended according to the regulations of each scholarship foundation
