Operating Guidelines for Lost-and-found Handling
The operating guidelines for lost-and-found handling is aimed at providing convenient and swift service by prescribing the handling of lost properties occurring within the campus.
- Lost Item Collection
In principle, the lost properties collected must be returned to their respective owners through One-stop Service.
The person in charge of lost and found service records the details of all lost properties in the lost and found management ledger. - Return
In principle, all lost properties must be collected in person by their respective owners.
To a person asking for the return of an item, presentation of an ID card to identify the person’s name and identity is requested or the person is asked questions about the lost item to verify his or her identity as the owner. Then, personal information of the person is recorded in the lost and found management ledger to confirm the collection of the item. - Notice
If the owner of a lost item cannot be identified, information about the item will be posted on the Korea University Sejong Campus website for one month (Campus Life > One-stop Service > Lost and Found).
The lost item will be kept in storage for a maximum period of three months including the period of the posting.
One-stop Service Center disposes an item that can be deteriorated or is dangerous for storage at the discretion of the head of the Center
(food items, flammable substances, items causing odors and other items deemed dangerous for storage). - Handling of Lost Items with Prescribed Storage Period Expired
The person in charge of lost and found service may dispose of the lost properties or handle them in an appropriate way unless they are claimed by the respective owners within the period specified in the operating guidelines (3 months)3 months)
