Definition
Registration of students whose leave of absence has expired or when the rationale for the leave no longer exists
Application Period
- Spring Semester: Feb. 1–25
- Fall Semester: Aug. 1–25
Application Method
- After registration during the application period, send in application for return in Portal - Registration/Graduation - Registration - Application for Leave of Absence/Return
- For return after military service discharge, attach a copy of the certificate of discharge from military service or abstract of the resident registration (certificate of military registration)
- For leave of absence/return for graduate school students, fill out the application and send it to Academic Affairs Dept. of the respective school
Note
- From February 2016, enrollment fee must be paid during the registration period after application for return from leave of absence on the specified application dates
- Application for leave of absence/return for graduate school students cannot be submitted online
- Students failing to return after the passage of one year from the date of military service discharge are removed from the school register
- Students subject to reserve force status must submit the report of transference to the reserves either through the Information Depot menu on portal.korea.ac.kr or by visiting the Military Affairs Team (2F, Student Union)
- After submitting the receipt of enrollment fee for the semester of return and the application for return that has been completed of processing, students must collect and retain the filing receipt (limited to undergraduate and graduate students who have submitted the application in person)
- For students of whom the date of discharge from military service is within one month after the start of a semester, the period of return can be extended to one month after the start of a semester if the “consent of the head of department” is submitted following guidance by the head of department
