Article 35 of Section 3, Academic Regulations Section 2 of Chapter 6 2
Definition
A separate curriculum is organized and a major is established by combining two or more colleges and departments
Eligibility
- Students (enrolled students) who have been assigned with the first major and registered for three or more semesters (transfer students who have registered for two or more semesters)
- Students on a leave of absence cannot apply for major convergence
- For students who take a leave of absence after announcement of the passing for major convergence (during semester), their passing is revoked
- Attendance Period of Students Enrolled in a Semester: Spring semester (Mar. 1–Aug. 31), fall semester (Sep. 1–Feb. 28 of the following year)
- Students who have passed for double major and major convergence, and students who have applied for engineering certification cannot apply for major convergence
- However, if a student who has passed for double major (major convergence) or applied for engineering certification intends to apply for major convergence, wavering of the passing/application must be completed within a prescribed period of time (direct wavering in portal system)
- Reapplication is allowed once after a student passes for double major (major convergence) and wavering the status and, if the student fails for the reapplication, the student must complete the intensive major of the first major

- Selection Criteria: Academic records, study plan and evaluation criteria of each department or major

Note
- From students admitted in 2004 and onwards, one of the intensive major of the first major, double major, major convergence or student-designed major must be completed as the second major has become mandatory
(However, for transfer students, completion of the second major is optional) - The intensive major of the first major is the same as that of the single major system in the past
- After passing for major convergence, students become eligible for major convergence from the following semester
- Major convergence for financial engineering can be applied for only by students affiliated with Seoul Campus
